A bar of soap is a small thing. Going without one isn't.
Every dollar you give is passed straight on: half to initiatives fighting hygiene poverty worldwide, half to the GTA organizations we work with. Relavco keeps none of it.
Why it matters
Clean is not a small comfort.
Ask anyone who has had to choose between soap and supper. Being clean is how you walk into a job interview, a classroom, or a clinic without feeling like you have to apologize first.
Hygiene is the first thing people lose
Food banks receive food. Shelters receive clothes. Soap, shampoo, and deodorant almost never arrive, yet they are the first things to disappear from a budget that no longer stretches.
A bar of soap prevents more than it costs
Washing with soap is one of the simplest, cheapest ways to stop infection from spreading, especially where people share close quarters, like a shelter or a drop-in centre.
The soap already exists
Usable bars are thrown out by the case every week. Rescuing and remaking them is work we already do for free, so your gift never has to cover it.
Our soap has always been free and always will be. Donations are not how we keep the workshop running, so nothing given here stays with us: every dollar is passed on to the organizations below.

Half of your donation is sent onward and divided equally between three non-profit initiatives working on the hygiene problem globally, organizations recycling soap and reaching people far beyond us:
Soap for Hope Canada
Rescues soap from hotels across Canada, reprocesses it, and sends it to communities facing hygiene poverty here and overseas.
Clean the World
Turns recovered soap into new bars and hygiene kits distributed to families in more than 100 countries.
Eco-Soap Bank
Recycles discarded soap into affordable bars while employing local women, with hygiene education alongside every delivery.

Regeneration Outreach Community
Brampton's daily drop-in for people experiencing homelessness — meals, showers, and a place to be treated like a person. Our very first 250 bars went here.
Youth Without Shelter
Emergency shelter and housing support for young people aged 16 to 24 who have nowhere else to go.
Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre
Downtown Indigenous cultural centre offering meals, crisis support, and community programs to Toronto's Indigenous community.
